About 3rd Mediterranean Freediving World Cup
Welcome Freedivers!!!
It has now been 3 years since the 1st Mediterranean Meeting was held in Crete
and the idea of a bigger and more complete freediving event was conceived.
The Mediterranean Meeting series of freediving events were intended to serve as a
gathering opportunity for Freedivers of all levels from Beginners to World
Champions giving them an opportunity to train together, interact, exchange
ideas and compete at the highest level for 15 days…
Truly living the spirit of freediving in some of the most
amazing locations in Greece.
Going further than the purely athletic part of the event a full
schedule of activities was organized during the Meetings including talks, film
screenings, presentations and photographic exhibitions adding another aspect to
the Mediterranean Events.
For 2010 we have gone a step further!!!
With the active backing of the Municipality of Kalamata a
beautiful city on the seaside of the Messinian Bay, one of the deepest tectonic
trenches in the Mediterranean Sea— plummeting to depths in excess of 800m a few
hundred meters from shore we are proud to announce the
3rd Mediterranean Freediving World Cup 2010
The biggest Team & Individual depth event in Freediving for
2010
So join us for a breathless trip in the crystal blue waters of
the Messinian bay. Experience the high of surpassing your limits in some of the
best and safest conditions around the world or set your gaze on the title of World Cup Winner for
2010.
When not in the water join us for a visit to the site of ancient Olympia, walk
around 2500 year old cities and little known gorges, attend a photo exhibition
by top U/W photographer Fred Buyle and live the most complete freediving event
experience in the World...
